Blog? Me? Seriously? Really?

Today is Wednesday June 24, 2009. I have just opened my first Blog. Why? I have no idea. I find it very intimidating, but yet very challenging. I have never been comfortable writing anything, even a thank you note. I feel extremely insecure with my spelling and grammar skills. Perhaps this will help with just getting out what I want to say. It can help me practice getting from brain to fingers to paper, or should I say blog.

I am 48 years old, married, a mother to two beautiful children. I am a frustrated "artist". Any medium will do. I love to create. Paint, sew, photography, jewelry making, anything that gets the creative juices flowing satisfies my creative urges. I hope I can learn how to get some of my photographs up on my blog. All my computer knowledge, or lack thereof is completely self taught. Trial and error. But I do love trying and learning!

We are in a suburb of Philadelphia today. My daughter is 11 and has qualified for the YMCA Gymnastics National Competition. I am in the hotel alone now, the boys have gone to work out and my daughter is downstairs swimming with some friends. This is my time now. Why now I have decided to start this is beyond me. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow, follow the urge. So I did.
